New Delhi/Bhubaneswar, March 20: The Fourth National Sagarmala Summit, held today at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi, discussed India’s maritime future with a special focus on Odisha’s contributions. Chaired by Union Ministers Sarbananda Sonowal and Nitin Gadkari, the summit covered key topics like Sagarmala 2.0, port modernization, and enhancing connectivity.
Smt. Usha Padhi, Odisha’s Principal Secretary for Commerce and Transport, represented the state, emphasizing its commitment to boosting maritime infrastructure. Odisha’s strategic maritime projects, including the Odisha Maritime and Waterways Master Plan (OSMWMP), were recognized for their role in advancing the blue economy and regional trade.
