Nabarangpur, Jan, 22: The first district-level PM SHRI Festival of Nabarangpur was held on Tuesday at the playground of the PM SHRI Raja Chaitanya Dev Nodal Government High School, Nabarangpur.
The programme was inaugurated by State Minister for School & Mass Education, Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe Development, Minority & Backward Classes Welfare, Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Shri Nityananda Gond, who attended as the chief guest.
The District Education Officer (DEO), Chhatrapati Sahu, delivered the welcome address and outlined the objectives of the festival. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Additional District Magistrate (Revenue) Biswajit Chandra Barman, while Nabarangpur MLA Gaurishankar Majhi attended as a distinguished guest.
Among other honoured guests were Rajlakshmi Das, Chief Executive Officer, Panchasakha Shikshasetu, Bhubaneswar, ADEO Prakash Chandra Mahalik, Shrikant Jani, and Supriya Nayak.
Advising students to continue their relentless efforts to achieve success, the DEO encouraged them to stay focused on their goals. MLA Gaurishankar Majhi urged students to work with determination to help make India a global leader. Chief guest Nityananda Gond motivated students to move ahead continuously with positive thinking and innovative ideas.
At the end of the programme, ADEO Prakash Chandra Mahalik proposed the vote of thanks.
As part of the festival, students from 23 PM SHRI schools of the district showcased their talents through the Aspirational Student Council Talent Gallery. Exhibitions included literary creativity, curiosity-based learning, skill development, sports, science project displays, Eco Club exhibitions, Inspiring Odisha 2036 Ring, Saksham Centre, language lab, food court, Model United Nations, and various development-oriented project displays.
The guests visited the stalls and encouraged the students. Cultural programmes based on various social awareness themes were also presented by the students. District-level officers, students and teachers from different schools, and education department staff were present in large numbers. The programme was anchored by Chandana Marik.
