Odisha Chief Minister’s Visit to Singapore to Attract Investments

Bhubaneswar, Nov 16: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will begin a four-day visit to Singapore on Sunday to attract investments to the state. This is his first foreign trip since taking office in June.

The visit aims to promote Odisha’s investment potential ahead of the ‘Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave’ in January. Majhi stated, “This is our first international outreach, and we are eager to showcase Odisha’s opportunities in various sectors and our readiness for foreign investments.”

The Chief Minister will highlight Odisha’s strategic advantages, such as its operational ports and focus on the chemical and petrochemical industries. He added, “We aim to build strong partnerships with industry leaders and engage with the global Odia community.”

Majhi will be accompanied by Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain and officials, who will meet with key investors and explore collaboration opportunities during the visit. The trip is part of Odisha’s effort to position itself as a leading investment destination.
