CM Mohan Majhi Launches INR 205 Crore Development Projects in Debagarh

4th June 2025: In a major push towards regional development, Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Mohan Majhi has inaugurated and laid the foundation for multiple welfare projects worth ₹205 crore in Debagarh district. These initiatives aim to strengthen the infrastructure and uplift the socio-economic standards of the region.

Key highlights of the projects include:

Healthcare Boost: The Chief Minister inaugurated a state-of-the-art 300-bed medical facility at the district headquarters, a crucial step towards improving healthcare access and services for local residents.

Public Welfare Projects: A total of 11 health-related projects and 4 education infrastructure projects had their foundation stones laid, marking a significant investment in the district’s human development.

Support for Forest-based Livelihoods: The CM also announced a financial aid package of ₹41.17 crore for tendu leaf collectors and forest-dependent communities, enhancing their income and livelihood security.

These comprehensive efforts, covering health, education, and livelihood support, are designed to accelerate Debagarh’s growth and ensure inclusive development. The Chief Minister reiterated his government’s commitment to balanced progress across all regions of Odisha.

This wave of new initiatives is expected to bring long-term benefits and transform Debagarh into a model district in terms of infrastructure and public welfare.
