Empowering Women: A Path to Progress

3rd March 2025: On the occasion of International Women’s Day 2025, Deputy Chief Minister Smt. Pravati Parida emphasized that women’s empowerment is an ongoing process, not just a slogan. She highlighted the importance of strong role models, particularly mothers, in shaping confident and courageous daughters.

Addressing a youth conference with students from Ramadevi Women’s University and other institutions, Smt. Parida discussed crucial topics such as women’s empowerment, gender-based violence, women’s roles in politics, mental health, and economic participation.

She urged young women to believe in their abilities and take ownership of their decisions, fostering greater self-confidence and a stronger foundation for empowerment. Smt. Parida also called for a shift in societal attitudes to recognize women as leaders and change-makers.

Her message was clear: empowering women is a continuous journey that requires both individual action and a collective effort to achieve true equality.
