Kanya Vivah Scheme: Rs 51,000 Support to Be Provided for Girl’s Marriage

Bhubaneswar,  Dec, 10:  Kanya Vivah Scheme

The government will provide Rs 51,000 for the marriage of a girl.

Rs 35,000 will be directly deposited into the girl’s account.

Rs 6,000 will be given for wedding-related expenses.

The government will give Rs 10,000 as gifts.

The gifts may include clothes, bangles, jewelry, and utensils.

The government has issued separate guidelines for this scheme.

The girl’s age must be between 18 and 35 years.

This benefit is applicable only for girls marrying for the first time.

Both the bride and groom must be residents of Odisha.

Priority will be given to economically weaker families.

Widows remarrying will also be eligible for the benefits under this scheme.
