Mayurbhanj, May 14: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated and laid foundation stones for multiple development projects worth over ₹420 crore during his visit to Bishoi in Mayurbhanj district. These projects, aimed at boosting infrastructure and public services, span across various blocks of the district.

Key highlights include the establishment of a new +2 college at Bishoi block headquarters and the renaming of the local mini stadium in honour of tribal freedom fighter Dharanidhar Naik, along with plans to install his statue.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister emphasized that these projects mark a new chapter in Mayurbhanj’s development journey. He added that the initiatives in areas like Rairangpur, Kusumi, Bijatala, Bahalda, Jamda, and Thiring will lay the foundation for a more prosperous and progressive Odisha by bringing sustainable growth to rural regions.
These steps reflect the government’s continued commitment to inclusive development and improving the quality of life in remote and tribal-dominated districts.
