10th January 2025: President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Bhubaneswar for a two-day visit to Odisha, where she was warmly received by Odisha Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati and Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi. The President’s arrival ahead of the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) 2025 closing ceremony marks a significant occasion for the state.

During her visit, President Murmu met with the Governor and Chief Minister at Raj Bhavan, where discussions focused on promoting Odisha’s cultural richness and expanding its global cultural presence.
The President is set to attend the PBD 2025 closing ceremony today, where she will address attendees and highlight the valuable contributions of the Indian diaspora to strengthening cultural and economic ties with India. Her participation emphasizes the importance of fostering cultural exchanges worldwide.
