Kotpad, Dec, 09: The social worker and distinguished football player, recognized referee by the State Football Association, Sheshananda Shatrushalya, has passed away at the age of 92. He breathed his last at his residence due to age-related ailments.
Late Shatrushalya had played for the Kotpad-E team during the 1980s and had earned considerable fame at both district and state levels. In addition, he served as a recognized referee for the State Football Association for many years, overseeing football tournaments at both district and state levels, earning widespread recognition. His death marks the loss of one of the most notable personalities in the Kotpad region.
He also set an example in the field of social service and contributed significantly to the community. The news of his passing has cast a shadow of grief over the Kotpad region.
Former Minister Padmini Dian, Kotpad MLA Rupu Bhatra, former MLA Chandra Shekhar Majhi, NSC President Shankar Rao, Block Chairperson Kamala Bhatra, Vice-Chairperson Tapan Panigrahi, Press Club President Pankaj Kumar Patra, Pradeep Bakshi, Gopabandhu Pathagara President Ganesh Chandra Panda, along with former football players and well-wishers, have paid their respects and expressed their condolences.
