Bhubaneswar, September 15: Odisha is all set to join the nationwide rollout of the ‘Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan’, a transformative health initiative dedicated to the holistic wellness of women and children. These camps will operate at Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, Community Health Centres (CHCs), and during Poshan Maah celebrations at Anganwadi centres. The initiative integrates healthcare with awareness, dietary counselling, and early disease detection to promote long-term wellness.

The campaign also focuses on:
- Treating anaemic women and girls

Beneficiaries have been advised to carry Aadhaar cards, ABHA IDs, or Ayushman Cards to facilitate registration through the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s mobile app. Additionally, Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials have been distributed to all districts to drive public engagement and awareness.
Multi-Departmental Collaboration
The programme is spearheaded by the Odisha Health and Family Welfare Department in partnership with:
- Women and Child Development Department
- ST and SC Development Department
- Minorities and Backward Classes Welfare
- School and Mass Education Department
Mission Shakti
This cross-departmental coordination ensures that the programme reaches women at every level—from government frontline workers to rural mothers and adolescent girls.
Inclusive Approach in the First Phase
In its initial rollout, the campaign will prioritize women service providers and frontline workers, including ASHAs, Anganwadi workers, and other grassroots staff. This ensures that the very women responsible for delivering public services also receive quality healthcare.
