Jammu and Kashmir, 7th Aug 2025: Satya Pal Malik, former Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, passed away at the age of 79. He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at RML Hospital. Malik had been critically ill for an extended period and was admitted to the ICU. Notably, he had served as Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Meghalaya, and Bihar. He also held additional charge as Governor of Odisha for a brief period. Several prominent personalities have expressed deep condolences on his demise.
