The speakers emphasized that the sacrifice of martyrs is unforgettable. Their dedication, courage, and sense of duty will forever remain an inspiration for the younger generations. Their lives, devoted to the service of Mother India, will encourage today’s youth to follow their ideals and join the defense forces to serve the nation.

On the occasion of Independence Day, at a special ceremony organized by Odisha Bhaskar at Hotel Drishti Premium, several dignitaries spoke. They said that merely remembering martyrs or offering floral tributes is not enough; the true homage lies in following their example and dedicating oneself to the service of the nation. Patriotism must always remain alive in our hearts.

Group Captain Yudik Billar, Commanding Officer of AC-1, stated in his speech that because of the sacrifices of our ancestors, we are free today. Soldiers deployed across the country are tirelessly protecting this freedom. He praised Odisha Bhaskar for honoring the families of martyrs, calling it a commendable initiative.

In his address, Gohit Tumur Singh of the 120 Infantry Regiment said that the “Maa Tujhe Salaam” program stirred deep emotions and reminded everyone of the eternal bond between the nation and its people. He met the families of three soldiers from his battalion who laid down their lives for the country, including Kuntha Kumaan Phii, whose contribution he remembered with gratitude.

Another guest officer added that we can never repay the debt of the martyrs’ sacrifices, nor can we ever forget their contributions. Just as Prayag can never cease to be a holy pilgrimage, the martyrs’ sacrifices will forever remain sacred.

Speaking as a special guest, a senior IPS officer of Odisha said that this program by Odisha Bhaskar is a noble way of ensuring that martyrs are always remembered. True tribute to them lies not only in hoisting the national flag on Independence Day but also in embracing their spirit of patriotism in everyday life.

CRPF IG Amitendra Nath Sinha, also attending as a special guest, said that love for the nation must live in every citizen’s heart. If each of us contributes in our own way to the nation’s welfare, that itself will be the truest homage to the martyrs.

BSF IG Avtar Singh Sahi, another dignitary, said that Independence Day is indeed the day to remember martyrs. He expressed gratitude to Odisha Bhaskar for organizing such a program to honor them.
