Jharsuguda, 9th Sept 2025: – In connection with non-interlocking (NI) work and maintenance activities near Balijori, located between Jharsuguda and Dhutra on the main Howrah–Mumbai line under South Eastern Railway, the Balijori Railway Level Crossing Gate No. 256 will remain completely closed temporarily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
This has been officially notified via Railway Department Letter No. DCE-CON Rourkela ROB 256 SPL, issued by Deputy Chief Engineer, Rourkela Construction, Mr. BomBom Pandey.
Due to this closure, regular commuters from nearby industries and facilities — such as Vedanta, Bhushan, Ultratech Cement, Sponge Iron, Chemical Factories, Apar Group, Power Cable Factories, as well as students, schools, colleges, healthcare centers, and government and private employees, along with daily wage laborers traveling to Patrapali — are being informed in advance so that they are not inconvenienced.
