Pride for NALCO Vidya Mandir as Students Excel in State Science Fair

Damanjodi, 13th Sept 2025:  Three first-year science students of local NALCO Saraswati Vidya Mandir — Sakshantapana Behera (Science Project), K. Harika (Scientific Experiment), and Jaish Mary Chetty (Science Seminar) — brought pride to their institution by participating in the State-Level Science Fair held on the 6th and 7th at Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Gatiraut Patna, Cuttack, under the youth category.

Under the guidance of Kalyani Das, the three students represented their school at this science fair organized by the Odisha Shiksha Vikash Samiti at Keshavdham. They were prepared and supported by Dr. Naresh Chandra Sahu, along with Sonali Pati, Smruti Padha, Mamata Sahu, and Sunil Kumar Mishra.

Among them, Sakshantapana Behera secured first place at the state level in the youth category for her science project titled Future Fuel. As a result, she has been selected to represent Odisha at the Regional Science Fair, which is to be held on October 7 and 8 at Sharada Vidya Mandir, located in Kasim Bazar, in South Bengal.

Additionally, K. Harika earned second place for her scientific experiment, adding further prestige to the school.

The school’s chairman, along with all other members, extended heartfelt congratulations for their achievements. Special mentions were made by the President Dr. Shubhranshu Shekhar Bahinipati, Secretary Dr. Chittaranjan Mishra, and the management committee.
