Officials Unveil District-Level Initiative to Combat Violence Against Women

Nabarangpur, Nov 27:  The district-level inauguration of the 16-day campaign was held at the Mission Shakti Conference Hall of Dabugaon Block, jointly organized by the District Social Welfare Department and the One Stop Centre (Shakti Sambal).

District Social Welfare Officer Draupadi Kanhar delivered the welcome address and explained the aims and objectives of the 16-day campaign.

Ranjita Sahu, Centre Administrator of the Sakhi One Stop Centre, stated that the ISRDC-registered One Stop Centre in Nabarangpur will conduct various activities during this year’s 16-day programme through the Lok Kalyan Portal.

District Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swain said that this initiative is a commendable effort aimed at eliminating various kinds of violence faced by girls and women. He noted that the programme aims to create awareness not only among women but also among men.

District-level officials, along with the District Collector, were present at the event.
