Umerkote, Jan 28: On the second day of the Revenue Premier League being held at Biju Patnaik Stadium in Umerkote, Nabarangpur, four teams competed in two exciting matches.
In the first match of the day, Raighar Eleven faced Jharigaon Eleven. Batting first, Jharigaon scored 109 runs in 15 overs. In reply, Raighar Eleven chased down the target by scoring 110 runs in 14 overs, securing a comfortable victory.
In the other match, Umerkote Eleven batted first and put up a strong total of 145 runs in 15 overs. Chasing the target, SDM Eleven managed to score 143 runs in their allotted 15 overs. As a result, Umerkote Eleven won the match by a narrow margin of 2 runs. For SDM Eleven, Sub-Collector Prakash Mishra scored 46 runs, while Tehsildar Meghaban Bag contributed 33 runs.
The final match of the tournament will be played at Nabarangpur Stadium. The winning team will receive a cash prize of Rs10,000, the runner-up team Rs5,000, and the Player of the Series will be awarded Rs1,000.
The tournament has been organized by the Revenue officials of Nabarangpur.
