Semiliguda, Feb, 11:: The consecration ceremony of the newly constructed Bidyeshwar Mahadev temple and the installation of the deity’s idol were celebrated at Sunthiput village under Dudhari Panchayat of Semiliguda block.
The consecration programme was held for four days, from February 2 to 5. On the fourth day, 211 women from the village carried ceremonial kalash (sacred pots) in a grand procession from the Ghataguda river around the village.
Under the supervision of a special priest, various religious rituals were performed, including Naam Sankirtan, Go-Puja, Surya Puja, temple purification bath, Homa, deity bathing rituals, Naam Yajna, Ashtaprahari, and continuous Akhanda Naam Sankirtan.
Thousands of devotees gathered during the consecration festival, creating a spiritual atmosphere in the village. Villagers expressed that their long-cherished wish had been fulfilled. Thousands of devotees partook in Anna Prasad daily.
The temple management committee and villagers extended their cooperation in organizing the programme.
