Tentulikhunti, Feb, 13: The inaugural programme of Sampurnata Abhiyan–Phase II was held today within the premises of Tentulikhunti Block.
The event was attended by Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Nilendri Nayak, MP Representative Santosh Kumar Patra, Mandal President (Zone 1) Abhimanyu Harijan, Mandal President (Zone 2) Prashant Nayak, Tentulikhunti Block Development Officer (BDO) Manoj Panigrahi, Aspirational Block Director Aiswarya Bhanj, Deputy Director Brajabandhu Nayak, Project Director Bikram Keshari Rana, Child Development Project Officer Binita Jethi, Veterinary Officer Mahendra Samrath, Welfare Officer Jagamohan Majhi, Supply Department Officer Rohit Majhi, and Additional Block Education Officer Prafulla Pattnaik, among others.
The programme began with the dignitaries offering floral tributes at the statue of Laxman Nayak in Tentulikhunti, followed by a torch rally up to the block premises. After reaching the venue, the event commenced with the worship of Lord Ganesha. A welcome address was delivered by Tentulikhunti Aspirational Block Coordinator Kiran Pradhan.
Students of Bapuji High School presented an inaugural dance performance. On this occasion, BDO Manoj Panigrahi highlighted the key performance indicators under the Sampurnata programme in the presence of ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, MBKs, CRCs, and officials of various departments of the block.
He elaborated on six major indicators of completeness, including:
Regular supplementary nutrition for all children aged 6 months to 6 years,
Regular weight monitoring of children enrolled in Anganwadi centres,
Functional toilets in Anganwadi centres,
Availability of safe drinking water in Anganwadi centres,
Ensuring girls’ toilets in schools, and
100percent vaccination of livestock.
The dignitaries present also spoke on issues hindering the overall development and progress of the Aspirational Block and drew attention to areas needing improvement.
The programme was conducted by Aspirational Block Coordinator Kiran Pradhan, with assistance from Tapaswini Karkara.
