Ganjam:Feb, 19: The fourth anniversary celebration and a poetry session were organized under the banner of Purnachandra Smruti Sansad at the Fasi Adap Mandap premises in Ganjam district.
The event was arranged under the leadership of founder and president Pramila Pani and coordinated by young poet Rairanjan Nanda. National and international poet Prasanna Dalei attended as the chief guest and inaugurated the program. He spoke on the discussion theme titled “Life After Death.”
The meeting was presided over by poet Prashant Mishra. Speakers included Narmada Dora, while Gopal Chandra Lenka joined as the chief speaker. Teacher Simanchal Pani attended as an honored guest. The gathering paid tribute to the late Purnachandra and remembered his contributions.
On this occasion, a self-written book by poet Pramila Pani titled “Bhuli Huena” (Cannot Be Forgotten) was officially released by the guests.
In the second session, coordinated by Balaram Palei and Dibyani Martha, at least 30 invited poets recited their poems. In the concluding felicitation ceremony, several talented personalities — including Dandapani Mohapatra, Naresh Chandra Ray Mohapatra, Gaur Chandra Sadangi, Brajabandhu Behera, and Nalini Prabha Mishra — were honored.
Many distinguished persons, intellectuals, poets, writers, and journalists attended the event. The program was managed by Smruti Sansad secretary Nilakantha Das along with Prakash Chandra Biswal, Rabindra Tripathy, Minati Devi, Lilabati Padhi, Anima Pattnaik, and others.
