Baipariguda, Feb, 19: A review meeting of the Legislative Assembly Standing Committee was held at the conference hall of the Baipariguda Block Office.
The meeting was chaired by Standing Committee Chairman and Badasahi MLA Sanatan Bijuli. Among those present were Lakshmipur MLA Pabitra Saunta, Banki MLA Debi Ranjan Tripathy, Karanjia MLA Padma Charan Haiburu, Patkura MLA Arvind Mohapatra, Sorada MLA Nilamani Bisoyi, Koraput MLA Raghuram Machh, and Koraput District Collector Manoj Satyaban Mahajan.
CDO Benudhar Sabar conducted the proceedings of the meeting.
Discussions focused on mega water supply projects. Out of eight mega water projects, the Standing Committee has already visited two, and deliberations were held on how to complete the remaining four projects at the earliest.
The committee also discussed with the Rural Development (RD) Department how necessary bridges and culverts can be constructed and repaired quickly, the chairman Sanatan Bijuli informed.
BDOs from various blocks of Koraput district also participated in the program.
