Bhubaneswar, Feb, 28: The cervical cancer vaccination program for adolescent girls will begin from February 28. This information was shared by Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling. It has also been stated that the Chief Minister will be present at the launch of the vaccination drive.
Vaccination Details:
Girls up to 14 years of age will be given a single dose.
Girls above 14 years of age will be given three doses.
Additionally, in the financial year 2026–27, the ‘Chief Minister’s Cancer Treatment Campaign’ will be launched. Approximately ₹311 crore will be spent on this initiative.
This will be an important step towards the prevention of cancer and increasing awareness about the disease in the state.
