Annual Day Festivities Held at Chitra UG Ashram School

KotpadMarch, 9:The annual function of Chitra UG Ashram School in Kotpad Block was celebrated with great enthusiasm.

Among those present on the stage were BJP Mandal President Surendra Gadaba, Samiti member Dhanajati Jani, local Sarpanch Kamala Chalan, School Management Committee President Pitabas Bhatra, social worker Bhaskar Bishoyi, Kotpad Mangal Extension Officer Akash Jena, Borigumma Mangal Extension Officer Sonali Nayak, K. Srinivas Rao, N. Rajesh Kumar, Rajesh Kumar Nayak, Gupteshwar Raut, Bhaktaram Samarath, Arku Bhatra and Devaprasad Nayak.

Teachers from Kotpad Girls High School as well as teachers from different departments of Borigumma and Kotpad were also present at the event. Meritorious students who performed well in competitions were awarded prizes.

The programme was successfully organized with the cooperation of all teachers of the school under the leadership of Headmistress K Kanchanmala. Santosh Kumar Jena conducted the stage proceedings.

On the previous day, statues of Mahatma Gandhi, Subhas Chandra Bose, Laxman Naik and Thakkar Bapa were unveiled at the school by District Mangal Officer Sunil Kumar Tandi.
These statues were installed in the school through the personal initiative of Headmistress K. Kanchanmala.
