Charichhak, March 20: The annual Ashtam Prahari Nama Yajna was successfully conducted at Khulis village near Charichhak.
On the occasion of the Ashtam Prahari, a special procession featuring a Kalash Yatra was organized. The devotees carrying sacred pots (kalash) brought them in a ceremonial procession and installed them at the designated altar.
For this religious event, Prashant Kumar Sahu and his wife Kalpana Sahu performed the rituals as the chief yajna hosts (karta and karti). The main priest, Basudev Mohapatra, conducted the worship rituals, while the village temple priest Sukanta Panda (Gandu) assisted in the ceremonies.
aAccording to the organizers, the Ashtam Prahari will continue for three days. Several villagers, including Kedareswar Pradhan, Shivabrata Mall, Paresh Bhol, Ramesh Mall, Benudhar Khatoi, Basanna Kumar Mall, Batakrishna Mall, Kailash Chandra Bhol, Pabitra Pradhan, Ramesh Pradhan, Ranjan Mall, and others extended their support in organizing the event.
Hundreds of devotees from various areas participated in the ceremony, lighting lamps and incense sticks and praying for the well-being of their families and the prosperity of the world.
