Food Safety Concerns Rise as Three Districts Emerge as Adulteration Hotspots

Bhubaneswar, Mar, 25:Alarming information has come to light; adulterated and unsafe food is being found in the state.
Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra presented this information in the Assembly.
In 2025–26, raids were conducted at 1,60,134 locations.
47 cases have been registered and fines amounting to ₹5,19,000 have been collected.
Nayagarh, Cuttack, and Khordha have emerged as hotspots for adulterated food.
16,300 raids were conducted in Nayagarh and 16,016 in Cuttack.
15,334 raids were carried out in Khordha.
