Jeypore April 06: A joint public grievance hearing camp was organized by the district administration on Monday at the premises of the Lamtaput Block Office in Koraput district.
Koraput Additional District Magistrate Tapan Kumar Nayak and Superintendent of Police Rohit Verma attended the camp. They directly heard various grievances of the public and instructed the concerned departmental officials to resolve the issues promptly.
The Additional District Magistrate advised the BDO to immediately include eligible beneficiaries who have been deprived of old-age and widow pension schemes.
The Superintendent of Police reviewed cases related to law and order and police assistance brought by people from different villages and discussed the complaints seriously.
Out of a total of 39 complaints received, 13 were individual cases and 26 were collective grievances, all of which were heard during the camp.
The program was also attended by Chief Development Officer-cum-Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad Benudhar Sabar, Sub-Collector Prem Lal Hial, Lamtaput BDO Jayant Kumar Meher, Tahasildar Dibakar Bag, and officials from various district-level departments.
