Government Wraps Up Cabinet Meeting with Discussions on Welfare Schemes and Administrative Reforms

Bhubaneswar, April 08:  The Cabinet has approved 16 proposals across 13 departments.
Approval has been given to amend the reservation policy in educational institutions.
The number of seats for SC and ST students in educational institutions has been increased.
A new scheme, Chief Minister’s Annapurna Yojana, will be launched in the state.
Beneficiaries will receive an additional 5 kg of rice.
Another scheme, Chief Minister’s Handloom (Hanutantra) Scheme, will also be introduced.
The Badamba Sugar Industry will be reopened, with an investment of Rs352 crore.
