Cultural Revival Effort Gains Momentum as Artists Step Forward to Promote Traditional Folk Musical Instruments

Nabarangpur, April 8:  Artists in Nabarangpur have come forward with a strong initiative to create awareness and promote traditional folk musical instruments.
Under the guidance of music director Ananda Kumar Das, who resides in Hirli on the outskirts of the town, the artists made a unique effort by performing the iconic Odia song “Bande Utkala Janani.”
The performance featured:
Bharat Chandra Nayak on flute
Sagar Nayak on ghuduka
Tukuna Behera on tudubudi
Lulu Sahu on gochi baja
Sameer Pujari on tamak
This initiative was launched through social media, and Guru Ananda stated that such efforts will continue in the coming days to further promote and preserve Odisha’s rich folk music tradition.
