Umarkote Bids Farewell to 8 Pilgrims as They Leave for Holy Journey to Mecca and Medina

Umarkote, April:29: Eight pilgrims from the Muslim community of Umarkote town have set out on Saturday for the holy Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina.
On this occasion, hundreds of devotees gathered at the local mosque in Umarkote to bid them farewell. A ceremonial procession was organized from the mosque to Gandhi Chowk with the pilgrims—Salim Rathore, Jahamara Rathore, Ali Lathia, Tabassum Lathia, Maulana Sayeed Ahmed, Sarbari Khatun, Ejaz Khan, and Zakia Bai.
According to sources, they will travel via Raipur and reach Mumbai on Saturday evening. After undergoing two days of training (talim) there, they will depart for Saudi Arabia on April 29. After completing the Hajj rituals, they are expected to return to Umarkote on June 14.
