Odia Community in Ankleshwar Comes Together to Celebrate Odia New Year with Cultural Programs and Festive Spirit

Gujarat,May 02:: The Odia New Year was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the Odia community at Ankleshwar GIDC in Bharuch district of Gujarat. The celebration was organized jointly by the Shree Jagannath Cultural Group and the Odisha Seva Mandal.
The event showcased Odia culture through songs, dance performances, and various cultural presentations, reflecting the rich traditions of Odisha.
Several community members including Amarendra Narendra, Prakash Chandra Mishra, Babul Subudhi, Prashant Mallik, Udayanath Rout, Usharani Narendra, Kapilendra Sahu, Chandrashekhar Khuntia, Nilamani Palai, Sarat Chandra Mohanty, Ramesh Sahu, Chinmayee Sadhangi, Kajal Panigrahi, and others played key roles in organizing the event.
Cultural performances were presented by Madhusmita Mishra, Rekha Sahu, Mamata Khuntia, Padmaja Khuntia, Vaishali Mohanty, Rashmi Mohakur, Prasanna Mishra, Sandhyarani Rout, Sanghamitra Mishra, Monika Hota, Sonali Daku, Sabita Malik, Bijayalakshmi Das, Bilasini Rout, Sanjay Panda, and several others who actively participated in the celebration.
Distinguished guests including Keshab Chandra Sahu, Prabhas Mohapatra, Ashok Mohapatra, Jagannath Maharana, Nirupama Bhakta, Atashi Das, Prabhat Satapathy, Basanti Sethi, Prashanti Majhi, Dibyashis Patra, Gopal Rout, Pushpa Patnaik, Mita Patra, Umakanu Swain, Sudhanshu Jha, Ghanashyam Jha, and Bhavesh Singh were present on the occasion.
The celebration concluded with the message of preserving Odia culture and strengthening community bonding among the diaspora living outside Odisha.
