Peace Committee Constituted Ahead of Eid-ul-Zuha to Maintain Communal Harmony and Ensure Smooth, Peaceful Celebrations Across the Region

Rasulpur, May 21:  Members of the Muslim community residing under the jurisdiction of Jua Khua Police Station in Jajpur district will celebrate the Eid-ul-Zuha festival on the upcoming 27th. To ensure the festival is observed peacefully and in an orderly manner, a peace committee meeting was held on Tuesday.

Collective prayers and religious processions will be organized at mosques located in Atalapur, Mirzapur, Sribantapur, Haribag, Gopinathpur, Orali, and nearby areas under the police station limits. Participants were advised to celebrate the festival while maintaining peace, discipline, communal harmony, and brotherhood.

The meeting was held at the police station premises under the chairmanship of Officer-in-Charge Sushant Kumar Sethi, with members of various mosque committees in attendance. During the discussion, committee representatives shared details about the schedule and arrangements for the festival programs.

Police personnel will be deployed near religious places during the congregational prayers and processions to maintain law and order. The police also advised committee members to bring any disputes arising during the festival before the peace committee for resolution.

Officer Sethi urged everyone not to engage in any unlawful activities and warned against making objectionable remarks toward other communities or organizing any provocative events. Emphasis was also placed on maintaining discipline around mosques during prayer sessions.

Programs related to prayers for world peace, promotion of communal harmony in the locality, and religious discussions highlighting the significance of the festival will also be conducted in a disciplined manner, committee members assured the police.

Officer Sethi further informed that the police administration would undertake public awareness activities in the area ahead of the festival to ensure peace and harmony.
Police officials and mosque committee members were present at the meeting.
