Bhubaneswar, June 29 {UDN}:: A three-day spiritual satsang and the recitation of the Shri Jagannath Sahasranama concluded at the Shri Jagannath Temple in Bolaram, Hyderabad. On the occasion, the book Bhakta O Bhagaban – Part 2 was officially released.
The Sahasranama recitation was conducted by members of the Shri Jagannath Sanskriti Prachar Sansthan, including Dr. Narayan Mahapatra, Suresh Kumar Mishra, Trilochan Nayak, Bharati Bhushan Pattnaik, Bijay Mohan Panda, Srinivas Rao, and Akshaya Sahu. The three-day satsang was organized under the guidance of Pandit Kashinath Mishra.
During the discourse, the speaker emphasized that in earlier times people would wash their hands and feet before offering prayers and sharing their thoughts with the Almighty. He urged everyone to revive this tradition of sincere prayer and also spoke on the Bhavishya Malika and the advent of Lord Kalki.
The programme was held under the direct coordination of temple president Dr. B. V. Purohit, secretary Rabindra Nath Giri, and Dr. Narayan Mahapatra, president of the Shri Jagannath Sanskriti Prachar Sansthan. Among the distinguished guests were devotional singer Geeta Das, Pradyumna Mahanti, Sarat Sahu, Dushmanta Sahu, Sagar Nayak, Muralidhar Mallik, Narottam Bishoi, and Ashok Sahu.
The organisers stated that the Shri Jagannath Sanskriti Prachar Sansthan, India, is committed to preserving and promoting the rich heritage of Lord Jagannath. Its primary objective is to safeguard Jagannath culture and strengthen Odia identity on the global stage through cultural and spiritual initiatives.
