Odisha Extends Rabi Paddy Procurement Deadline Till July 3, 2026

Bhubaneswar, June 30: The Government of Odisha has extended the deadline for Rabi paddy procurement till July 3, 2026, to ensure that all farmers whose produce is still pending in certain districts are covered under the procurement process.

Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra informed that the decision was taken as procurement activities were yet to be completed in a few districts, including Nuapada and Balasore, where limited quantities of paddy remain to be procured.

He clarified that although June 30 was earlier fixed as the last date for procurement, the extension has been granted so that all farmers who have already received tokens can successfully sell their produce without any difficulty.

So far, 3,36,052 farmers have sold their paddy, and a total of 18,79,919 metric tonnes have been procured across the state. With the extension, the total procurement is expected to cross the 20 lakh metric tonne mark.

The government reiterated its commitment to ensuring smooth procurement operations and protecting the interests of farmers across all districts.
