Bhubaneswar, July 7 (UDN): The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast warning for seven districts of Odisha, predicting light rainfall, thunderstorms, and gusty winds over the next three hours.
The weather department has forecast rain accompanied by thunderstorms and wind speeds of 30–40 kmph in Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Balasore, Kandhamal, Ganjam, and Mayurbhanj districts.
The warning was issued at 10:40 am by the regional weather office, which advised residents in the affected districts to remain cautious and keep track of changing weather conditions.
Authorities have urged people to take necessary safety measures, avoid risky outdoor activities during thunderstorms, and follow official advisories to prevent weather-related incidents.
The IMD continues to monitor the situation and will issue further updates if weather conditions change.
