Rengali July 10 [UDN}:The foundation stone for a nature tourism destination has been laid at Rengali Dam in Kaniha Block of Angul district. On the second day of her two-day visit to Angul and Deogarh districts, Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism Minister Pravati Parida visited Rengali on Tuesday evening and inaugurated the project.
Upon her arrival at Rengali Dam, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida received a warm welcome from well-wishers and members of the Bharatiya Janata Party. The initiative marks a significant step towards developing Rengali as a major tourist destination.
For the development of the tourism site, the Forest Department will construct the nature tourism facility on the upper side of the Rengali Dam with an estimated expenditure of around ₹2.5 crore. The project includes the development of an attractive park, boating facilities, picnic spots, and a scenic watchtower for visitors.
The foundation stone for these facilities was laid in the presence of the Member of Parliament from Dhenkanal, the MLA of Pallahara, the RCCF and Field Director of the Angul Satkosia Tiger Reserve Project, the Divisional Forest Officer of Angul, the Forest Range Officer of Kaniha, officials and staff of the Rengali Forest Division, the Kaniha BDO, police personnel, and other dignitaries.
