Strong Start for Nabarangpur at State Junior Athletics Meet as Young Athletes Put Up an Impressive Show on Day 1

Nabarangpur , Aug 10 [UDN}:The Nabarangpur athletics team delivered an outstanding performance on the opening day of the State Junior Athletics Meet, being held at the Rairangpur Sports Complex in Mayurbhanj district. The team won an impressive three gold medals, one silver medal, and one bronze medal, marking a strong start to the championship.
A total of 32 athletes from Nabarangpur are participating in the competition, including 17 girls and 15 boys. The team is being coached by Sapan Bairagi, while Durjya Harijan is serving as the team manager.
On the first day of the meet, all the athletes from Nabarangpur showcased commendable performances. Among the medal winners:
Swayam Siddha Sahu, Kuni Rajgond, and Subhadra Pujari won gold medals.
Geetika Geetamaya secured a silver medal.
L. Snigdha claimed a bronze medal.
Following the team’s remarkable achievement, District Sports Association Secretary Prahallad Tripathy, Vice-President M. Balakrishna Rao, Joint Secretary Manoj Kumar Pattnaik, Secretary Ashok Nayak, and other members of the association extended their heartfelt congratulations to the athletes and the coaching staff.
The Ame Nabarangpuriya Paribar also congratulated all the players for their excellent performance. Their achievements have brought pride and recognition to Nabarangpur district at the state level. The organization expressed confidence that the athletes will continue their outstanding form in the coming events and win many more medals for the district.
