Transport Department Steps Up Road Safety Enforcement, Cracks Down on Traffic Violations Across Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh and Other Districts

Bhubaneswar, Aug 10 [UDN}:The Transport Department has intensified its enforcement drive across various locations, including Sambalpur, Jharsuguda and Sundargarh, against violations such as overloading, driving on the wrong route, and operating vehicles under the influence of alcohol.
As part of this special checking campaign, a heavy vehicle (Hyva) was seized from Sargipali in Sundargarh for carrying excess load and operating without valid documents and tax compliance. Legal action has been initiated against the vehicle owner as per the provisions of law.
The Transport Department has appealed to all vehicle owners and drivers to strictly follow road safety rules, carry valid documents, avoid overloading, and ensure responsible driving to prevent accidents and protect lives on the road.
