Bhubaneswar, Aug 10 [UDN}:Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari held a high-level meeting with senior officials of the Odisha State Disaster Management Authority (OSDMA) at Lok Seva Bhawan.
During the meeting, the Minister conducted a detailed review of the ongoing flood situation in the state and discussed measures for effective management of the crisis. Various aspects related to rescue operations, relief measures, preparedness, and strengthening disaster response mechanisms were deliberated upon.
Emphasising the need to make Odisha’s disaster management system more robust, Minister Suresh Pujari highlighted the importance of adopting advanced technologies and modern infrastructure for better forecasting, early warning systems, quick response, and efficient handling of future disasters.
The Minister directed officials to ensure improved coordination among all concerned departments and agencies so that timely assistance reaches people affected by floods and other calamities. The meeting focused on enhancing Odisha’s resilience against natural disasters through technology-driven solutions and better preparedness strategies.
