Pending Madhubabu Pension Applications Under Review: District Collectors Directed to Verify Applications and Facilitate Benefits for All Eligible Beneficiaries

Bhubaneswar,  Aug 17 [UDN}:  The Odisha government has directed all district Collectors to take necessary steps to verify and dispose of applications that have been pending under the Madhu Babu Pension Yojana (MBPY).
The directive aims to ensure that eligible beneficiaries who have applied for pension assistance do not remain deprived of the government’s social security support due to delays in application verification. District administrations have been asked to review the pending applications, verify the eligibility and supporting documents of applicants, and take appropriate action at the earliest.
The Madhu Babu Pension Yojana is one of Odisha’s major social security initiatives, providing financial assistance to eligible elderly persons, widows, persons with disabilities and other qualifying beneficiaries. The scheme is intended to provide basic financial support and improve the social and economic security of vulnerable sections of society.
With the latest direction, district-level authorities are expected to give greater attention to applications that have remained pending for verification. The move is likely to benefit eligible applicants who have been waiting for approval and pension support.
The government’s instruction also underlines the importance of timely verification and transparent implementation of welfare schemes at the grassroots level, ensuring that eligible citizens receive the benefits for which they qualify without unnecessary administrative delays.
