Odisha Government Gives Senior IPS Officer Himanshu Lal a New Assignment, Marking a Key Change in Administrative Responsibilities

Bhubaneswar, Aug 24 [UDN}:The Odisha Government has appointed senior IPS officer Himanshu Lal as the Inspector General (IG) of the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) and the Special Task Force (STF).
Himanshu Lal is known as an efficient and experienced IPS officer. He has previously served successfully in several important positions in the state.
Under his leadership, the EOW is expected to intensify its action against financial fraud and cybercrime, while the STF is expected to play a more active role in combating organised crime, drug trafficking and other serious offences.
The appointment is being viewed as a significant administrative change in the Odisha Police.
