Mumbai, August 26, 2026: Merchant Records announces the release of “Piya Bina,” the debut single from 21–year–old Hindustani classical vocalist Maahi Zaveri. Maahi is managed by Collabor8, the music-first brand consultancy founded by Aoneha Tagore.
Written, composed and sung by Maahi, the track marks her first release as a singer-songwriter and is out now on all platforms.
Piya Bina marks the debut of Maahi Zaveri, a 21–year–old Hindustani classical artist making her introduction as a singer-songwriter with her first original composition drawing from Raag Madhuvanti and Raag Miyan Malhar – written, composed and sung by Maahi herself.
A tender ode to longing and separation, the song draws from the timeless emotion of viraaha. Set against saawan, Maahi captures the quiet restlessness of a heart yearning for its beloved – sleepless nights, tear-filled eyes and memories that grow more vivid in their absence.
