20 Bonda Women Begin Skill Development Training in Garland and Jewellery Making at Newly Inaugurated Tribal Skill Centre in Mudulipada

 Mudulipada ,Aug 27 [UDN}: A Tribal Skill Centre has been inaugurated at Mudulipada for women belonging to the primitive Bonda tribal community. The training programme began with the participation of 20 Bonda women, focusing on the making of garlands and jewellery.
The special training programme is being conducted by the Malkangiri Jan Shikshan Sansthan. Through this initiative, Bonda women will be trained in modern jewellery-making techniques. The programme aims to create new employment opportunities for them and help them become economically self-reliant.
On the occasion, the District Collector said that the Bonda community has a distinctive identity rooted in its traditional ornaments, art and rich cultural heritage. Through the new skill centre, efforts will be made to transform the community’s traditional artistic skills into modern jewellery-making practices.
The initiative is expected to provide Bonda women with opportunities to earn a sustainable livelihood while staying in their own region. By combining their traditional craftsmanship with modern design and production techniques, the programme will help promote self-employment, preserve their cultural heritage and contribute to the economic empowerment of Bonda women.
