Queue Darshan to Be Implemented at Shree Mandir, Aiming to Provide Safer and More Systematic Access for Devotees

Puri, Aug 29 [UDN}:  Efforts are underway to streamline the darshan system at the Shree Jagannath Temple.

The state government had earlier announced plans to introduce a queue-based darshan system.

Ramps of different heights were constructed for this purpose.

Each ramp can accommodate around 50 devotees, with arrangements aimed at enabling 8,000–10,000 devotees to have a smooth darshan every hour.

However, the system could not be implemented due to some technical issues.

Technical assistance has now been sought from IIT Bhubaneswar.

A pilot model is being prepared, after which the government will formulate a plan for its implementation.

An air-conditioning system has also been installed in the Natamandap.

Minister Prithviraj Harichandan provided this information.
