Nabarangpur,Sept 1 [UDN}: Students of Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS), Hili, have achieved remarkable success in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), bringing pride and recognition to their school and district.
A total of seven students from the school—Padma Ganda, Mahendra Ganda, Rajendra Bhatra, Mamita Bhatra, Temraj Bhatra, Ahwarika Majhi, and Dolly Jani—successfully qualified in the NEET examination.
Among them, Padma Ganda, Rajendra Bhatra and Mamita Bhatra had earlier cleared an entrance examination conducted through a joint initiative of Dakshina Foundation and Eklavya Model Residential School. Following their selection, they received specialised NEET coaching at the Dakshina Foundation in Pune. Their focused preparation and dedication helped them perform successfully in the highly competitive medical entrance examination.
The achievement has opened up significant opportunities for the successful students to pursue their dreams of becoming medical professionals. Padma Ganda secured a seat for pursuing the MBBS course at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack, while Mahendra Ganda secured a seat at Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), Burla.
The success of the seven students is being viewed as a significant achievement for EMRS Hili and a source of inspiration for other students, particularly those from tribal and remote areas. Their accomplishment demonstrates how access to quality residential education, proper academic guidance, dedicated preparation and targeted coaching can help students overcome challenges and succeed in highly competitive national-level examinations.
On the occasion, Nabarangpur District Collector Dr. Maheswar Swain, PA ITDA Rajib Sahu, DWO Palaka Rabindra, school principal Subhashini Sahu and senior teacher Ghulam Jafar congratulated all the successful students for their outstanding performance. They conveyed their best wishes and expressed hope that the students would continue to achieve greater success in their academic and professional careers.
The NEET success of the EMRS Hili students has not only brought laurels to their institution but has also highlighted the growing potential of students from tribal communities in the field of medical education.
