Majhi is expected to travel to the UAE from September 8, with the visit focused on engaging investors, business leaders and institutions and exploring opportunities for new projects in Odisha.

The state government will use the outreach to showcase Odisha’s industrial potential, infrastructure, connectivity, natural resources and investor-friendly policies. Officials are expected to hold government-to-business and business-to-business meetings to discuss investment opportunities and potential collaborations.

Additional Chief Secretary of the Industries Department Hemant Sharma said the UAE offers significant scope for deeper engagement with investors and business leaders. He said Odisha has been building an ecosystem that combines infrastructure, policy support and industrial capabilities to support new investments.

A key objective of the visit is to turn discussions with investors into concrete investment proposals, industrial projects and employment opportunities in Odisha.

The government also plans to strengthen its engagement with the Indian business community in the UAE and explore partnerships that can contribute to the state’s industrial expansion.

The UAE outreach is part of Odisha’s broader effort to build international economic partnerships and bring more global investment into the state. The government expects such engagements to support industrial growth, generate jobs and contribute to Odisha’s long-term economic development.
