Nabarangpur,Sept 4 [UDN}: Nabarangpur District Collector Dr. Maheswar Swain today visited the family of former minister Late Dammaru Majhi and paid floral tribute to his portrait.
The Collector was absent from yesterday’s condolence programme as he was in Bhubaneswar. During today’s tribute, he told the family that Dammaru Majhi was a rare politician who rose above politics and remained deeply concerned about the educational development of Nabarangpur and the future generation.
Nabarangpur College, the Higher English Women’s School, and Dabugam Bhairab College were among the educational institutions considered his lasting contributions and vision.
His two daughters, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, and relative Mrs. Manjula Majhi were also present during the tribute.
