Bhubaneswar, Sept 4 [UDN}:The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning regarding the possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall across several states during September.
The weather department has cautioned that intense rainfall could lead to flooding, waterlogging and disruption of normal life in vulnerable areas. Authorities have been advised to remain alert and take necessary precautionary measures to deal with any emerging situation.
People living in low-lying and flood-prone areas have been urged to stay cautious and follow official weather advisories. Rescue and emergency response agencies may also need to remain prepared in view of the possibility of heavy rainfall and associated flooding.
