Bhubaneswar, Sept 4 [UDN}: IPS officer Jay Narayan Pankaj has officially assumed charge as the new Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Southern Range in Berhampur. His appointment marks the beginning of a new administrative and policing chapter for the Southern Range, with the senior police officer taking responsibility for overseeing law and order, crime prevention, and policing operations across the areas under his jurisdiction.
Upon assuming office, DIG Jay Narayan Pankaj is expected to focus on strengthening the overall policing system, improving coordination among police units, maintaining public safety, and ensuring effective action against criminal activities. His experience as a senior IPS officer is expected to contribute to more efficient policing and better delivery of police services to the people.
The assumption of charge by the new Southern Range DIG is also significant from the perspective of maintaining law and order and strengthening police administration in the region. The police leadership will continue to emphasize crime control, public security, quick response mechanisms, and closer coordination between different levels of the police administration.
With Jay Narayan Pankaj taking over as the Southern Range DIG, attention will now remain on the policing priorities and initiatives that he introduces in the region, as well as efforts to further strengthen the relationship between the police department and the public.
