Bhubaneswar, Oct 7 [UDN}:A meeting of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) Legislature Party was held at Shankha Bhavan under the chairmanship of party president and former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. The meeting focused on the party’s strategy and key issues to be raised during the upcoming session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly.
During the meeting, BJD legislators discussed a range of issues concerning the people of Odisha, including rights over the state’s mineral resources, alleged deficiencies in textbooks being provided to schoolchildren, concerns of farmers and the rising cost of living.
The party said it would strongly raise issues affecting the public in the Assembly and seek accountability on matters related to people’s welfare and state interests. BJD legislators are expected to highlight these concerns during the forthcoming Assembly proceedings.
