Malkangiri, Oct 21 [UDN}:A special voter registration drive is being undertaken across all blocks of Malkangiri district to ensure that eligible voters who were left out of the electoral rolls, along with newly eligible young voters, are included in the voter list.
As part of this initiative, an important training programme was organised for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to strengthen their efforts to identify eligible citizens whose names have not yet been included in the electoral rolls and facilitate their registration.
The initiative aims to ensure that no eligible citizen is deprived of their democratic right to vote in the coming days. Through this special drive, the district administration seeks to improve voter registration coverage, raise awareness about the importance of electoral participation, and ensure that all eligible citizens have the opportunity to exercise their franchise.
The training programme is expected to play a crucial role in helping BLOs carry out the registration process effectively and ensure that eligible voters, particularly young people registering for the first time, are included in the electoral rolls.
