Nabarangpur, Oct 23 [UDN}:Nabarangpur’s newly appointed District Collector, Smt. Madhumita, today visited the Indravati Reservoir and reviewed the condition of its infrastructure, maintenance arrangements and ongoing development works.
During the visit, the Collector directed the concerned officials to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) at the earliest and submit it to the concerned department for the comprehensive development and repair of both sides of the river. The initiative aims to strengthen the infrastructure and improve the overall condition of the reservoir and its surrounding areas.
The Collector also instructed the officials concerned to expedite the process of releasing pending salaries to 147 outsourced employees working at the dam. Her directive underscores the administration’s focus on addressing employee grievances and ensuring that outstanding payments are cleared without unnecessary delay.
The visit was aimed at assessing the existing infrastructure, identifying maintenance requirements and accelerating development-related activities in the Indravati Reservoir area.
The district administration has reiterated its commitment to the overall development of the reservoir region, the protection and maintenance of critical infrastructure, and the timely resolution of employees’ issues.
